Privacy

Firelink has no account of its own, so there's nothing about you on our side to begin with. Everything the app works with sits on your device and comes from the stores you chose to link.

What stays on your device

What Firelink reads from each store, and what it writes back

StoreReadWritten back
Steamowned games, wishlist, play time, achievementswishlist add and remove
PlayStationplayed games, trophies, wishlist, artworkwishlist add and remove
Xboxplayed games, achievements, gamerscore, artworkwishlist, on the way
GOGowned games, wishlist, achievementswishlist add and remove
Epic Gamesowned games, play timewishlist add and remove
Nintendoplay activity per game, eShop wishlistwishlist, on the way

A game only gets added to a store wishlist when you picked that store for that game. Firelink never writes anything to a store on its own.

Where prices come from

Prices come from the stores' public catalogues, and from IsThereAnyDeal for PC stores and key sellers. None of that needs an account. Stores change prices without notice, so the number in the app can lag behind the store page.

Sync between devices

Run Firelink on more than one device and your wishlist and alerts travel between them through sync.getfirelink.app, a small server we run on Cloudflare. It keeps only the wishlist rows and alert rows needed to keep your devices in step. It never holds store sessions, passwords, receipts or library data. On a single device, nothing is sent there at all.

Buying games

Firelink never takes payment. Open sends you to the store's own product page and you check out there with your own account.
